How Does UV Laser Marking Machine Work?

The principle of UV laser marking system is similar to the most common laser marking machines, 

which use laser beams to make permanent marks on the surface of various materials. 

The effect of marking is to directly break the molecular chain of the substance through the short-wave laser 

(different from the evaporation of the surface substance produced by the long-wave laser to expose the deep substance) to reveal the pattern and text to be etched.

Compare with green laser and infrared laser, UV laser has less heat effect. It has advantages such as short wavelength, 

short pulse, high-quality light beam, high precision and high peak power, etc. 

UV laser has more obvious advantages for materials which are sensible for heat effect during micro-meter or nanometer level super-fining processing.

UV laser are mainly used for marking and surface treatment of circular microchips, thin ceramics, IC crystal particles, glasses, 

TFT, LED, plasma screens, precise key marks, glass surface marks, silicon wafer marks, PCB processing, 

flat-panel display production, fine tuning of electronic elements, processing of solar energy battery materials, textiles and thin polymer films, etc.

Ultraviolet laser marking is a type of cold engraving method. The engraving process is called the "photoetching" effect. 

"cold processing" has a very high load of energy (ultraviolet) photons, 

which can break the chemical bond in the material (especially organic material) or the surrounding medium.

There is no heating or thermal deformation on the inner layer and nearby areas of the processed surface. 

The high-energy molecules of ultraviolet photons directly detach the molecules on the metal or non-metal materials that need to be processed.
