The CO2 laser marking machine adopts an infrared light band and a 10.64μm gas laser to charge the CO2 gas into the high-voltage discharge tube to generate a glow discharge, so that the gas molecules release the laser, and the laser energy is amplified to form a laser beam for processing the material. The laser beam vaporizes the surface of the object to achieve the purpose of engraving. The above is the difference between the two, but the bigger point is the lasers of both, one using a fiber laser and the other using a gas laser.The main parts include: laser source, scan head. control card, lens. These key components are important criteria for evaluating the quality of CO2 laser marking machines.

Advantage

1.Non- contact marking: Laser marking is processed to non- mechanical "knife", can mark on the printing surface of any regular or irregular, and mark the workpiece without exerting stress,which ensure the accuracy of the workpiece. No corrosion on the work surface, no "tool" wear, no poison, no pollution.
2. Permanent: The markings don't subside with the environmental factors such as touch, acid and reducing gases, high temperature, low temperature, etc.
3. High engraving precision: laser marking machine engrave items with fine lines, minimum line width is up to 0.04mm. The markings are clear, durable and beautiful. Laser marking can meet the needs of printing large quantities of data on minimal plastic parts. For example, we can print two-dimensional barcode with higher precision and higher definition, and have stronger market competitiveness compared with the way of stamping .

4. The running cost is low: the marking speed is fast and the mark is formed fast, and the energy consumption is small, so the running cost is low. Although the laser marking machine has more equipment investment than the traditional marking equipment at the begining, it is much lower running cost and longer lifetime from a long term.
5. High Efficiency: The laser beam is controlled by the computer and can move at high speed (5~7 meters per second), the marking process can be completed in a few seconds.
6. Anti-fake:Applying laser marking technology, the mark carved is not easy to be imitated and changed, to a certain extent, has a good anti-fake effect.
